• Draft an answer to a question each week (starting with difficult ones first)

Selecting the Right Category
You may only apply to enter one Category. You should select the category where you are the most competitive, where you think you have the most chance of winning, and where you think you have had the most success in your business over the past 12 months.
What types of businesses are eligible to nominate?
The awards are open to all local businesses operating within the Greater Frankston Region. Whether you’re a sole trader in start up phase or a long standing SME with solutions worth shouting about, nominating your business will prove it’s worth participating.

THE GALA AWARD PRESENTATION EVENING WILL BE HELD IN FEBRUARY 2019
Anyone may nominate a business to enter the Awards. While third party nominations are welcome, it is quite normal for a business to self-nominate. The identity of a nominator is not taken into account by the judges. If your business is nominated, this means your nominator believes you are worthy of recognition.
Finalists will be announced on 23 January 2019 via media and social media channels. Successful businesses will receive an email notification to advise them that they have been selected as a finalist.
An event to celebrate Finalists (including an exclusive Media Masterclass) is scheduled with more details to come.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Gala to be held 21 February 2019
There is a nominal application fee applicable to all businesses a part from registered NFP and NGO to cover the costs associated with judging panel and administrative costs.
The Frankston Business Awards provide a valuable opportunity to showcase excellence and best practice in local business. They celebrate business owners and operators who promote the best products and services the region has to offer.
For sponsors, the Awards provide a valuable opportunity to showcase their business and demonstrate their support for the wider Frankston business community.
For applicants, the Awards process provides an opportunity to review and evaluate their business and to submit their business as an applicant for a recognised and respected award. The judging process and the feedback provided by judges after the gala ceremony enables applicants to consider changes to their business model and operation which may increase their professionalism and competitive edge.
The gala ceremony, not only provides an excellent opportunity to recognise the finalists in each category and reward and promote the winners, but also provides a great social occasion and a valuable networking opportunity for all attendees.
The Frankston Business Awards aim to pay tribute to and reward the local community's best businesses. It also aims to develop and strengthen the bonds between businesses and the community thereby improving the standards of local businesses.

The Awards team have seen the process assist businesses greatly through self-evaluating their goals and objectives and being able to benchmark against key performer indicators and against competitors.
